Resident Manager - Officer In charge - K.A.S.R Kumara
Residential Facility – Gorakana, Panadura

KASR Kumara, a Nursing Officer in the Sri Lanka Air Force who was trained at Sri Lanka, India and MINUSCA (Multi-Dimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Central Africa). His Nursing education started in the year 2006 at the Military Nursing School Anuradhapura, where he earned his Diploma in Nursing. In year 2009 he was provided with a scholarship to follow a Physio Occupational Therapy Training Programme conducted by the 07 Air Force Hospital Kanpur, India.

His primary duty involves providing nursing care for any affected individual at any field that assures the best patient outcomes relative to clinical quality, care, and at the least expense. During his tenure at SLAF, he served as a Nursing Officer at several SLAF establishments and he retired from SLAF after completing 22 years of service and at the position of Warrant Officer I/C of the SLAF Hospital Ekala. He rendered his services not only in Sri Lanka but also in Central African Republic as a UN Peace Keeper. During his UN Mission Period he was trained and served as a SEA (Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) Prevention Officer apart from his primary nursing duties. Throughout his military career, KASR Kumara has been awarded with several decorations and major awards. These include a Uththama Sewa Padakkama, Purna Bhumi Medal, North and East Medal, Service Medal, Sewabhimani Medal, Long Service Medal, North Humanitarian Campaign Medal, East Humanitarian Campaign Medal, Videsha Sewa Medal and MINUSCA Medal. KASR Kumara was also responsible for providing care to patients who need professional intervention from a nurse.

MSN Salgadu, a Nursing Officer in the Sri Lanka Air Force who was trained at Sri Lanka, India and MINUSCA (Multi-Dimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Central Africa). His Nursing education started in the year 2006 at the Military Nursing School Anuradhapura, where he earned his Diploma in Nursing. In year 2009 he was provided with a scholarship to follow a Physio Occupational Therapy Training Programme conducted by the 07 Air Force Hospital Kanpur, India. He was also trained as a Critical Care Nurse at Post Basic School of Nursing Colombo in year 2017 and also he successfully completed The Certificated course in Management conducted by Faculty of Management Studies Rajarata University of Sri Lanka in 2019.

His primary duty involves providing nursing care for any affected individual at any field that assures the best patient outcomes relative to clinical quality, care, and at the least expense. During his tenure at SLAF, he served as a Nursing Officer at several SLAF establishments and he retired from SLAF after completing 22 years of service and at the position of Directorate Warrant Officer of the Directorate of Health Services. He rendered his services not only in Sri Lanka but also in Central African Republic as a UN Peace Keeper. During his UN Mission Period he was trained and served as a SEA (Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) Prevention Officer apart from his primary nursing duties. Throughout his military career, MSN Salgadu has been awarded with several decorations and major awards. These include a Commendation from the Commander of the Air Force in year 2012,Uththama Sewa padakkama, Purna Bhumi Medal, North and East Medal, Service Medal, Sewabhimani Medal, Long Service Medal, North Humanitarian Campaign Medal, East Humanitarian Campaign Medal, Videsha Sewa Medal and MINUSCA Medal. MSN Salgadu was also responsible for providing care to patients who need professional intervention from a nurse. 

Administrative Officer - Desha Vimukthi, Squadron Leader(Retd) M. A. Abdul Kapoor USP

He has 24 years of experience in the Sri Lanka Air Force. 14 years of experience as an Administrative Officer of the Headquarters and other Bases and Stations. He has 03 years of experience in the Institute of Personnel Management as an assistant of the HR council. He has tri language ability, singing abilities and creative abilities. He has medals (National Level) for Rowing and athletic sports.
In the 30 Years War, on the occasion of serving as a member of the humanitarian operation and was awarded an honor degree Deshavimukthi Wijaya Vibhushana.

Senior Mental Health Officer/ Senior Counsellor – K.D. Susanthi Fernando
Residential Facility- Gorakana, Panadura

Ms K. D. Susanthi has followed a Diploma course in Psychology at the Institute of Psychological Studies and a clinical training program at Sandeepani Home for the mentally ill and has acquired extensive knowledge and training in many areas of mental health. She has also been trained in the rehabilitation of individual psychological problems.

Participated in training and a workshop on Introduction to Research Methodology, Methods of Data Collection, Formulation of Research Proposal, Sampling Techniques, Data Processing and Data Analysis and Report Writing, in the Department of Demography at the University of Colombo, completing her research in the mental health status of children affected by Tsunami in Galle district: - cause of poverty; addiction of children to drugs and smoking. She has successfully completed workshops in reach methodology conducted by the University of Colombo. She has actively participated in art therapy, drama therapy and music therapy workshops conducted by Prof.Mooli Lahad and Mrs.Noga Goldring at the community stress prevention centre – in Israel in collaboration with the National Council for Mental Health – Sahanaya and has participated in family, sexual disorders and psychotherapy conducted by the Institute of Psychological Studies (IPS) Colombo. 

Coordinator Rehabilitative Services & Public Relations - Ms.Asanka Udeshini

Ms. Asanka Udeshini, has followed Information and Communication Technology course at the National Apprentice Industrial Training Authority. Also, she has an academic background in Social Science at the Open University of Sri Lanka. She has acquired extensive knowledge of Social Psychology and Social Science Research Method, which includes problem identification through gap analysis, data sampling, processing and presentation information and knowledge of Social Harmony increases the universal human rules.
