What is Rehabilitation?

In life, a person may come across experiences that can have serious and debilitating effect on his/her mental well-being. In such a case, one would require guidance to return to normalcy, as well as assistance to cope with day to day activities. This is known as Rehabilitation.

Division for Skills Development and Rehabilitation

When a client comes to us..
  • First, the client will be assessed by the psychiatrist at NCMH.
  • A Mental Health Officer at NCMH will obtain the information from the caregiver and compile a full case
  • history of the client’s condition.
  • A suitable care plan will then be developed.
Other Services provided by us
  • Monthly meeting of Caregivers.
  • Monthly meeting of Clients.
  • Visiting clients’ homes for observation and follow-up.
  • Meeting with the caregivers of a client when necessary.
  • There are 120 clients who are registered at NCMH. The daily attendance of clients varies from 30 to 35.

During the year 2009, thirteen clients had recovered to a degree which has enabled them to find employment and return to their normal lives.

We are open 0n weekdays from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
