The course constitutes of three Modules, all of them compulsory for the completion of the Diploma.
This introduces the participants to Counselling, by elaborating the essential Skills and Basic theories of psychology. It also takes a look at the nature of Relationship problems, Alcohol and substance abuse, Suicide and deliberate self-harm, Anger, Stress, etc. and how to handle such issues.
This module deals with the common psychiatric illnesses such as Schizophrenia, Anxiety disorders, etc. In addition, it aims to equip the participants with knowledge on Human sexuality and reproductive health, the psychological problems faced by the elderly population, etc.
This section introduces the essential psychotherapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Group Therapy. Entirely consisting of practical lessons, this module provides occasion of observing therapy sessions. It also enables the participants to have hands-on experience in conducting therapy themselves.
